Solutions

DOCOMO has more than 40 5G solutions. Here are some typical examples. (Click here for details)

DOCOMO Image Recognition Platform
DOCOMO Image Recognition Platform is a cloud service that provides image recognition AI via API. It enables development of solutions employing image recognition to improve operational efficiency and service efficiency without the need for specialized AI knowledge or personnel. A rich lineup of image recognition engines supports a variety of use cases.
Facial recognition system
“SAFR” of RealNetworks in the U. S. realizes highly accurate facial recognition by employing deep learning. Use of 5G and docomo Open Source Innovation Cloud® enables quick registration and high-speed facial recognition in less than one second. The system is expected to have a wide range of applications, including implementation of an entrance/exit system using facial recognition at companies, facial recognition at concert venues, and personal marketing using information such as gender and age.
Remote work support with AR smart glasses
Between the field workers wearing smart glasses and the supporters’ devices, two things become possible: situation sharing via video and audio as well as remote support for inexperienced workers by supporters’ sending images, manuals, etc. Supporters can remotely support multiple sites, and can achieve significant operational efficiency such as standardization of work quality and reduction of travel costs. Communication between the smart glasses and the supporters’ devices does not go on the Internet at all but is done via a server on the docomo Open Innovation Cloud. It is possible to safely and securely send and receive highly confidential on-site videos of manufacturing, infrastructure, medical, etc., as well as files such as drawings and manuals in a highly secure environment.
